Carmi Cimicata

Carmi Cimicata is a full time artist who specializes in resin jewelry, creating handmade greeting cards, altering books and creating wearable art pieces. She has always enjoying sharing her knowledge and is usually the first one to say “let me just show you how easy it is to make this.” Carmi believes you can be cost conscious and effective while still making items that are elegant and professional. Many of her samples highlight everyday items and dollar store finds.

Carmi has always looked for unique items and components to incorporate into her work and discovered that resin and resin-molding techniques would help her to achieve one of a kind art. From the moment she saw her first demonstration of resin being poured into a bottle cap, she knew that resin would be her favorite art medium. Almost a decade of trial and error has resulted in thousands of finished samples. Many of her favorite pieces appear to have embellishments and writing that floats.

Resin Crafts Blog is the result of her love affair with resin. She approached the resin manufacturer and asked them to hire her as their social media designer. This special blog gives her the opportunity to teach and share resin using techniques everyday. Carmi has a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Ryerson University. Carmi is also a craft presenter on the Shopping Channel in Canada, a job she loves because it allows her to demonstrate many different craft techniques and tools to a larger audience.
